Amid several controversies, Indian Idol 12 has received another criticism from the winner of its first season, Abhijeet Sawant. The singer accused the makers of focussing more on the tragic backgrounds and sob stories of the participants rather than their singing talent. This comes after Kishore Kumar’s son, Amit Kumar, had blasted the show saying that he didn’t enjoy a special tribute episode to his father.
