Pawar is believed to have suggested 16 seats for each of the three parties - Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena (UBT) - in the alliance. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar stated that no one has the authority to change the country s name, in response to the Congress claiming that a G20 dinner invite refers to the President as "President of Bharat." Pawar mentioned that this issue will be discussed in a meeting called by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge with the leaders of the INDIA alliance, an opposition bloc of 28 parties aiming to challenge the BJP-led Centre in next year s general elections.
