The NCERT textbooks have included references to Shrimad Bhagavad Geeta in Class VI and VII and its shlokas in Sanskrit textbooks of classes XI and XII, the Lok Sabha was informed on Monday.
Teachers Against the Climate Crisis said while it appreciates the need to cut the students' workload due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the content removed neither overlaps with similar material nor is irrelevant.
