The tragic death of a young female doctor at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College has prompted the Kerala government to order an investigation. The deceased, a doctor named Shahana, was found unconscious in her apartment and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The police have registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating allegations of dowry-related issues.
Medical college police have registered a case against Dr Ruwise E A, former state president of the Medical PG Association, for abetment to suicide and dowry-related charges in the suicide of a postgraduate medical student at Thiruvananthapuram medical college.
