The prosecution failed to establish their involvement in the attack, which resulted in the death of 25 CRPF jawans, and links with Naxals, a special NIA court said.

Tragedy struck our security forces on Saturday (April 3) when atleast 22 jawans got martyred and 31 were wounded in deadly four-hour encounter with Naxals along the border between Bijapur and Sukma districts in Chhattisgarh.

The toll of security personnel killed in an encounter with Maoists in Chhattisgarh rose to at least 22 on Sunday, after 17 more bodies were recovered from the jungles of Bijapur district, PTI reported.
At least one officer was reportedly missing as rescue teams continued the search operation for the second day, according to the
Hindustan Times. However, NDTV reported that the number of missing persons was higher, with three personnel still unaccounted for as of Sunday.

In yet another encounter in Chhattisgarh, on Saturday at least five security personnel were killed and 12 others injured in an exchange of fire with Naxals at a forest in the state s Bijapur district. Reports claimed that two Naxals, including a woman operative, have been gunned down. As of now, the encounter is still underway.
While three of the martyred jawans belonged to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), two were from the District Reserve Guard (DRG).
