Kumar says they continue to ensure that all municipal market vendors around the country have been vaccinated in light of the government’s ‘No Jab No Job’ policy.

Photo: Fiji Police Force Forty-six people were arrested for social gathering in the last 24 hours with the Western Division recording the highest number of arrests with 38 cases. Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu says there were a total of 77 reports of breach of curfew and health restrictions which also included two juveniles. Tudravu says a 30-year old man was arrested for failing to wear a mask in a Public Service Vehicle and a 50-year old bus driver was arrested for carrying passengers in excess of the 50% capacity.

[Image: File Photo] The Ministry of Local Government has decided to introduce the new operating hours for municipal markets around Viti Levu following the announcement of the new 6pm to 4am curfew. The Suva Main Market, Bailey Bridge, Raiwaqa, Nabua, Flagstaff, Lami and Navua markets will operate daily from 8am to 4pm from Mondays to Saturdays. For people residing in Nausori, the new operating hours of the market will be from 7am to 4pm from Mondays to Fridays and 6am to 4pm on Saturdays and on Sundays.
