UF students and faculty oppose proposal to build on the McCarty Woods conservation area
UF’s board of trustees approved a plan in December that marked the McCarty Woods conservation area as a future construction site to promote collaborative learning on campus February 5, 2021 | 7:00am EST Matt Raulerson, 20, a forest resources and conservation junior, walks on a path through the McCarty Woods Conservation Area on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021. Virginia Museum of Natural History Associate Curator of Recent Invertebrates Dr. Kal Ivanov will use the museumâs ongoing âAnts of Virginia Projectâ to illustrate topics ranging from what we know about the worldâs biodiversity to how we study the hidden life of some of the commonwealthâs most secretive ant species.
