The spring snowstorm that continues to move through the Monadnock Region has knocked out power for more than 5,000 households and led to the closure of schools and roads throughout
Early snowfall totals include 10.3 inches in Gray, 4.5 inches in Portland and 12.4 inches in Acton. A foot of snow was reported in the Oxford County town of Porter.
High winds and heavy snow from 'one of the more significant snows we've seen this season' will combine to create a risk of downed branches and power outages starting Wednesday night.
Meteorologists expect the storm to be one of the season's biggest, bringing between 12 to 18 inches of snow and wind gusts between 30 and 40 mph to Kennebec and Somerset counties.
