Area people of note, July 17, 2021 July 16, 2021 FacebookTwitterEmail 1of3 In May, North Haven Garden Clubs Youth Chairperson Cindy Golia, along with several members of the Key Club, weeded and planted around the middle and high schools. The Key Club at North Haven High School is branch of the international Kiwanis organization which has a collective goal of service to the community. the same objectives as the North Haven Garden Club. The first project was planting flowers at the North Haven Middle School sign, which is located on Bailey Road, the entrance to the school. Then the group headed over to the Preschool Pollinator Rock Garden at North Haven High School and edged out the existing garden, refresh the mulch and plant a few more perennials in the garden. The last project the group tried to tackle was weeding the front entrance of the middle school; Golia decided to concentrate on the entrance walkway garden area.
