NPC Reviewed 73 Procurement Cases 2020-12-28 کمیسیون تدارکات ملی : هفتاد و سه مورد تدارکاتی ، مورد بررسی قرار گرفت Kabul (BNA) The first meeting of the new Afghan fiscal year of National Procurement Commission (NPC) chaired by the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani was held at the Presidential Palace, the other day. In this meeting, 73 procurement cases including the concept for expediting procurement of supplies to Afghan National Army and Police were reviewed. The cases incorporated contract awards, amendments and extensions, memos, requests for instruction, realization of previous decisions of the NPC and a contract termination case. At the beginning of the meeting, National Security Council presented a concept for expediting procurement of supplies to ANA and ANP which was comprehensively discussed and the following decisions were taken on:

NPC Approves 51 Procurement Items Worth 4.5bl Afghanis 2020-12-12 NPC Approves 51 Procurement Items Worth 4.5bl Afghanis Kabul (BNA) The meeting of the National Procurement Commission chaired by the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani was held at the presidential palace, on Thursday. In this session 51 procurement cases worth more than 4.5 billion Afs were reviewed which included framework contract for procuring LPG gas for Makrorayan Residential Area O&M Enterprise of Kabul Municipality. The NPC also discussed and issued relevant decisions on 21 contract award cases related to different procuring entities; whereas, it returned the termination request of contract of Sheberghan commercial market for further assessment.

UAE Consortium Awarded Afghan Contracts Under Scrutiny Questions are being raised about three airport operations projects awarded to a UAE-based consortium, GAAC/G42, according to sources who say the consortium was registered as a foreign firm in Afghanistan a week after being awarded the projects. The company was registered in the UAE on October 28 before winning contracts from the National Procurement Commission for security, advanced technology systems and ground handling services for all international airports in Afghanistan on October 29. And, the company was registered in Afghanistan on November 5. The $47 million security service contract, and other contracts including information technology and ground handling ( the servicing of an aircraft while it is on the ground and parked at a terminal gate of an airport) were awarded to the firm on October 28, according to aviation sector’s authorities.
