Different approaches to segregation. When we react, does a fiend, you are talking about significant as tlc. Different approaches to reach the same goal. Sometimes it will work, depending on who you are and what the situation is. We need to take time to look at how all those things come together at how all of those things come together, not condemn one way or another way. You have to take in the full context to understand what was happening. So these stories will help us see when we are in our own situation today, it is all right to take different approaches, depending on what was happening at the time. Thank you for that. I wanted to follow up with another question. Can you talk about who Maggie Walker was . She was one of the first africanamerican women to register to vote after the 19th amendment was ratified. Tell us a little bit about who she was and is there anything in her personal papers, anything she wrote or said that gives us insight into how she felt . Clearly she thought it
Administration is preparing a Sweeping Campaign to encourage americans to take the covid19 vaccine when its available to them and as vaccine supply increases. And it all cant come soon enough. The centers for Disease Control and prevention report more than 600 cases of the more contagious covid19 variants from the united kingdom, brazil and south africa across 33 states. According to the latest forecast models, an estimated 631,000 americans would have died from covid19 by june 1st. The mounting of a real federal response to the covid pandemic for the first time comes alongside the Historic Second Impeachment Trial of the former president who failed and refused to lead that fight. The second Impeachment Trial of the accused insurrectionist donald j. Trump begins on tuesday. It does not appear that there would be enough Senate Republicans to join in convincing the former failed president of his role in inciting the mob that attacked the capitol one month ago on january 6th and thats not
We said tuesday night we knew there would be an effort to count votes that will extend through the week, and now was not the time to get ahead of ourselves. This is how the electoral process is supposed to work. These votes are being counted that were cast in places like arizona. Stage votes were people dropped off ballots on election day. They were set aside, there love the last ones to count, they have a different look to them than the ones cast in advance of the election. We see joe bidens lead diminishing in arizona. In pennsylvania, they set aside all of the early votes and counted the election day votes first, which looked good for donald trump. Now they are counting those ballots that came in later through the electoral vote process, through the early vote process, and it looks much better for joe biden. Until the votes are done, this election is incredibly close, just like in 2016 we have to be patient to decide who the end is. I would say all indication in each of these open s
Small caps having a pretty good day as well. The commentary seems to be the market feels a little tired. Is that how you see it yes i do suspect that the market is fatigu fatigued certainly on monday mornings consecutively weve been greeted with excellent news for society as it relates to the vaccine but markets dont seem to be responding as positively as they did two weeks ago. Scott, you began the show by suggesting that we have a potential end of year run. For there to be an end of year run, we are going to need a catalyst and i suspect its not the vaccine, its not earnings, and it really falls back to washington, d. C. And the ability to try and offer some form of fiscal bridge to get us to the other side in the absence of that, i would just highlight december 15 the and 16th, you have a Federal Reserve meeting. Theres a wild card scenario there where the Federal Reserve steps in and enhances some of the landing programs and provides the bridge in the absence of fiscal policy maker
