Devastating News Comes While at Work
On the evening of January 24, Amanda Rhoney was working at Wesley Long Hospital s emergency department when she suddenly received the devastating news. Her ten-year-old daughter, Gentry, phoned her and told her that their house was on fire.
Rhoney said that her husband, Michael, was preparing dinner when the propane tank caught fire. The military veteran husband was making meals for him, Gentry, and his six-year-old son, Mychal.

The mom and dad of a newborn baby named him after the officer that helped them deliver the baby on the side of a toll road. The officer immediately jumped into action upon learning that a pregnant woman is in labor.
On Friday afternoon, Indiana State Trooper Thomas Maymi worked during his shift when the dramatic ordeal happened on the Indiana Toll Road. According to an Indiana State Police press release, the officer observed traffic at around 12:30 in the afternoon.

Maymi noticed that a male driver had stopped his semi-truck near the 52 mile-marker on the road s westbound side. He saw that the man run across the highway so he could talk to the officer.

An Indianapolis couple, excited to get the COVID vaccine, die one day apart after contracting the deadly virus. The couple of three decades had been making plans for the new year, but they did not make it to get vaccinated.
According to WRTV, friends of Ernest Ron and Ann Wilkins said they had planned to get the COVID vaccine. The couple was excited that there would be a vaccine to prevent getting infected with the virus; however, the duo tested positive for the virus in December. Soon, the couple got hospitalized and were put on ventilators at Saint Vincent Hospital.

A Georgia teen who walks miles every day receives a new car from a good samaritan. The woman started a fundraiser to raise money to help the teenager go to work each day.
According to WAGA, Jayden Sutton walks from his school to his restaurant job every day. After his shift, he also walks back home to save money. He is working so he could buy his car using the money he earned from his job.
