Apr 28, 2021 Richard L. Zitzow, 89, of Marshalltown, Iowa, went to be with his Lord and Savior on the evening of April 24, 2021 at UnityPoint Health Marshalltown with his family at his side. Services for Richard will be held on Monday, May 3 at Redeemer Lutheran Church beginning at 1:30 P.M. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, May 2 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Full military honors will be provided at the burial at Rose Hill Memorial Garden by the combined VFW / American Legion Honor Guard of the surrounding area. The camp will be open this year but must follow social distancing and other guidelines. Gov. Ned Lamont called on summer camps and festivals to begin planning for the upcoming season in his latest COVID safety guidelines issued last week. Overnight camps, which were closed last year, are likely to reopen. Camps have been told to expect more details this month. Without much to go on at the moment, some camps are proceeding as if the guidelines were similar to last year, but hoping regulations will be loosened.
