Reporter stephanie bask came to vallejo to see for herself where her 38yearold son was shot and killed last night. Witnesses say it started as an argument over a parking spot. At some point, an off Duty Richmond Police officer fired the gun at the man. He popped his gun and shot my gun. My sun started running that way and started yelling please dont let this man kill me. He apparently shot him in the back and the back of the head. Reporter reason is a local rapper who goes by the name cheddar man. He didnt deserve that. He didnt deserve to die like that. Reporter the officers attorney tells a much different story. Michael reign tells resin got angry and got out of his car to confront the officer. When the individual confronted the officer he started threatening him and made the statement im going to f you up right here in front of i dont you are wife. Just about an hour ago, we learned that five people who were shot at the gilroy garlic festival, five of them are suing the festival. This stems from the mass shooting back in july. The official announcement will be made tomorrow morning. Heres what we know tonight, though. The suit alleges the gilroy garlic festival could have prevented the shooting with better security. There was a fence and metal detectors, but the shooter was able to cut a hole in the fence and go through and kill three people. Our other top story this evening, a gruesome crime and it appears to be random. A pregnant mother of two was shot and killed in front her apartment. It happened over the weekend.
