to think it was a ronald reagan speech. it sounded a lot like a dick cheney speech. and that s a place where i do think the democrats are going to perhaps enjoy highlighting their differences with scott walker. charlie cook, at this point, scott walker is not assured a place in that first republican debate. how important is that to a candidacy like this where most of the nation doesn t really know his name. they re not that familiar with him. if he doesn t maybe the main stage in that first debate, what happens to that campaign well, the averages that i ve looked at, he s pretty, you know, he s pretty easily going to make the top ten. and the donald trump may bump somebody off the stage, but it may be a john kasich or someone like that. but, the thing to me, what scott walker s trying to get across is i m not a gas bag from washington. i ve actually done stuff. and i ve won fights.
still they are insistent that at this point they have no plans to engage militarily. secretary of state john kerry saying his s going to meet with his counterpart next week, as you say president obama will meet with g-7 laters when he goes to europe next week. so the goal is to isolate russia economically, politically. it is a much slower process certainly, but as is know, tamron, the white house argues there is war fatigue given the wars in iran and afghanistan, that the nation doesn t have the stomach or desire to be engaged in another. but the question is will it be enough to deter puten? another option is to sanction banks, that s something that hasn t happened yet. i anticipate in this next round, we will see an expansion of individuals, those closest to putin. it s noted that putin hasn t been sanctioned.

background checks. it s not that the nra members don t support what we re saying, it s not that the nation doesn t support what we were saying, myself and nate pendleton and other parents in chicago and across the nation were in washington on capitol hill just earlier this week demanding that congress take action, action they promised after newtown. we want to see the results. nate, let me bring you in. while people won t know xbroe p joy son s name on a national platform and we re happy her voice is included now on our show, so much know that your family has met with first lady and president. i woke up this morning like a lot of people and you hear this story out of chicago and think, how could this be happening again? what are your thoughts knowing that legislation has been voted down and there seems to be a sad stall, at least even in background checks? well, to me, i think the
president. here is a president who urgently addresses the nation, on a pause that the nation doesn t want to do in the first place. this is almost unbelievable. and the fact that he puts so much weight on the russian proposal is a farce. the russians have said what they re trying to do is to get a guarantee that america will never strike syria. meaning russia wants the installation and the maintenance of the assad regime, which obama said had to go, to be a principal of any settlement. which will undo any attempt on the part of the west to ultimately dislodge the man who unleashed the weapons. so i don t see that there is a serious proposal. i think obama sees this as a way to negotiate, to pause, to draw it out. and after a couple of weeks, inspections negotiation, as if they will not be a vote in congress.
