The UW BLUE NOTE ENSEMBLE, a quintet under the direction of Johannes Wallmann, focuses each semester on the music of one 1950s or 1960s jazz recording artist. This concert will feature music composed by Wayne Shorter for the ensembles of Miles Davis, Art Blakey, and Shorter's own ensembles.
