Reporter there have been burglaries stolen cars and mail theft, however the Planning Department says gates are not allowed under a general plan approved in 2011. The idea is to make neighborhoods open and accessible. To have someone just be able to randomly walk into my garage and steal things is apalling and frustrating and there has been no follow up on it in two and a half months.
