A North Liberty man arrested on drug possession charges two months ago during a traffic stop led to a search warrant being executed on a residence where he was present this week.
Police say their initial contact with 19-year-old Emmanuel Ross of Cattail Lane occurred on the afternoon of February 6
th. Allegedly, the vehicle smelled strongly of marijuana, and during the search, he was reportedly found in possession of approximately 12 grams of loose marijuana in several small plastic bags, consistent with intent to sell and/or deliver. Ross also allegedly had a large amount of tens and twenties on him, four THC cartridges and several tobacco products. There were also three alcohol shooters in Ross’ glove compartment.

An underage Iowa City woman was taken into custody Saturday afternoon after reportedly being found with a fictitious ID, alcohol, and marijuana. Her companion faces drug and alcohol charges as well.
Police made a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Boyrum and Highway 6 at around 3:45pm. 18-year-old Natalya Johnson was a passenger in the vehicle, and a probable cause search was conducted.
Johnson’s purse reportedly contained a “Kinky” alcohol shooter, and a fictitious Illinois license showing her to be over 21. A small bag of loose marijuana was allegedly found underneath her seat.
Johnson was charged with Possession of a Fictitious ID, Marijuana Possession, and Possession of Alcohol under Legal Age second offense. If convicted on all counts, she could be sentenced to up to 25 months in jail.
