The Fort Worth native is in prison for attacking police despite evidence showing otherwise.
A former US Marine and University of North Texas student, Trevor Reed at his sentencing hearing July 30, 2020, at Moscow s Golovinsky District Court. The court found him guilty and sentenced him to 9 years in a prison colony. Reed, who arrived in Russia on a tourist visa, was arrested Aug. 16, 2019 after neighbors complained about a drunk man arguing with women. Authorities say he attacked officers as they took him to the police station, which he denies.
