Producer of Steel Expressions 2020, Rodney Small said he is pleased with the staging of this the ninth edition of the Show. The show was held with the theme Lifted and carried sub themes of Reflection; Love and Happiness.
Mr. Small told NBC News that the show was aimed at lifting the spirits of patrons. He said patrons can look forward to another great show at the 10th Edition of Steel Expressions next year.
The 2020 cast was made up of five-year-old Jyasi “Lil JJ” Nash Jr., Caywama and Caydonna Edwards, Havlyn Gill, Brent Williams, Ahjea Jackson, Kyron Westfield; Aretha Shallow; Hance John; Skinny Fabulous and Featured Artiste Pannist Rodney Small.

Rodney Small’s Steel Expressions concert has been described as “extremely impressive” by a local marketing professional.
This is the view of Marketing Assistant at University of the West Indies (UWI) Open Campus St Vincent and the Grenadines Ronnie Daniel, which he expressed during the show’s media launch at the Murray Heights Hotel on Thursday, December 10
Daniel told the gathering that he has known Small since around 2000, when Small and several other young entertainers became involved in the Methodist church’s youth month program.
“He was very passionate and we were impressed,” Daniel said of Small back then, while noting that Small has brought that passion to Steel Expressions, a show which is into its ninth year.

Rodney Small’s Steel Expressions event should be thought about in the context of St Vincent and the Grenadines’s (SVG) cultural development with specific reference to production.
“Rodney is what I consider to be … what you get when you mix education with passion and creative development,” singer and songwriter Lennox Bowman said last week.
The former chief executive officer (CEO) of the General Employees Cooperative Credit Union (GECCU), a long-time supporter of the nine-year-old Steel Expressions show, shared his views during the media launch of the 2020 version of the event which is this year being held under the theme, “Lifted” and is organized under the “RS Productions” banner.

Rodney Small’s grandmother, Annie King, said something to him on her dying bed, “Love, Peace and Happiness, Rodney”.

That is why this year, Rodney Small’s Steel Expressions concert carries the theme, “Lifted” which will be showcased under the sub-themes – Proverbs 27:19 – Reflection; 1 Corinthians 16:1- Love; Psalm 144:15- Happiness; and Deuteronomy 31:6 – Lifted.
So with this in mind, innovation, entertainment and upliftment of local talent is what is once again going to be on show.
This year, the event is scheduled for Saturday December 26, Boxing Day, and according to Small, “in our ninth year of production we pledge, once more, to lift the bar even higher to ensure patrons of Steel Expressions – Lifted enjoy the highest quality of entertainment we are known to offer.”
