Mumbai News LIVE: One more cop arrested in Ambani bomb scare case
With new coronavirus-induced restrictions coming into force in Maharashtra from Thursday night, the state government said only government personnel and health workers will be allowed to travel by suburban trains in Mumbai. The fresh restrictions under the government s `Break- the-Chain programme came into force at 8 pm on Thursday and will remain effective till 7 am on May 1. Mumbai on Thursday reported 75 deaths due to COVID-19, the highest one-day fatality count since July last year. The city reported 7,410 new cases.Meanwhile, Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Thursday said the state government is even willing to touch the Centre s feet if it helps in getting the required supply of oxygen amid the severe shortage. Mumbai: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) probing the Antilia bomb scare and Mansukh Hiran murder arrested police inspector Sunil Mane early on Friday morning. Sunil Mane was the in-charge of Unit-11 of the Mumbai crime branch.
NIA sources said that Mane was involved in Mansukh Hiranâs murder and helped suspended assistant police inspector Sachin Vaze in the crime. Interestingly, this isnât the first time Mane has courted controversy. In May 2020, Mane was transferred to the Modus Operandi Branch (MOB) of the crime branch after an accused levelled allegation that the officer had asked for money. The then joint commissioner of police (Crime) Santosh Rastogi, who is currently with the NIA, had termed the transfer as âadministrativeâ.

Mansukh Hiren murder case: Accused Naresh Gor moves bail plea before NIA court

Mumbai: Naresh Gor, arrested with suspended constable Vinayak Shinde in the Mansukh Hiren murder case, on Wednesday filed a bail application before a special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court.
On Wednesday, his judicial custody had ended. Gor, alleged to be a bookie, was arrested by the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and shortly after that, the NIA had taken over the case, claiming that the auto parts dealer Hirenâs murder is connected with the case of security scare outside industrialist Mukesh Ambaniâs residence on 25 February. It was to Hiren that the Scorpio car in which explosives were laden was traced.

Antilla Bomb Scare: Sachin Vaze s former colleague Riyazuddin Kazi to be produced before NIA court today

Suspended Assistant Police Inspector Riyazuddin Kazi, arrested by the National Investigation Agency on Sunday in the Antilia Bomb scare and Mansukh Hiran murder case, will be produced before a special NIA court today as his custody with the agency ends.
Kazi was last produced before a holiday court on Sunday that had remanded him in the NIAâs custody till 16 April. Today he will be produced before a holiday court again, with the subordinate courts being shut on Thursday and Friday in view of the surge in Coronavirus.
