Last Updated: Indian Diaspora Holds Tiranga-Maple Rally In Canada Hailing COVID-19 Vaccine Supply A rally involving nearly 350 cars was organised in Toronto Area to mark the strengthening ties between India and Canada over the supply of Covid-19 vaccines A peaceful rally involving nearly 350 cars was organised in the Brampton town of Greater Toronto Area on Sunday to mark the strengthening ties between New Delhi and Ottawa over the supply of Made-in-India Covid-19 vaccines to Canada. The three-hour-long car rally featuring flags from both countries witnessed the participation of 22 Indo-Canadian organisations.  The first consignment of Coronavirus vaccine manufactured by Serum Institute of India (SII) is scheduled to arrive in Toronto on March 3. The shipment will contain 500,000 doses. A total of two million shots will be sent to Canada by mid-May.

Rajkot: In Jamnagar Municipal Corporation (JMC) BJP retained power for the sixth consecutive term. The party won 50 seats out of the total 64 seats. For the first time Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) won three seats in ward 6 of Jamnagar. The has a mixed population of Ahir, Dalits and minority community. Though the BJP gave tickets to candidates of the minority community in ward 1 and 12, in both the wards the Congress panel won. In 2015, BJP had won 38 seats and Congress had got 24 seats. BJP betters tally in Bhavnagar Rajkot: In Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation (BMC) BJP won 44 seats out of 52 while Congress managed just 8 seats. There were BJP candidates who won the election by a margin of 6,000 to 10,000 votes. However, there were three candidates who won by a narrow margin of less than 500 votes. Kanti Gohil, a Congress candidate from ward 1 won the election with 139 votes, Naresh Chavda of BJP in ward 2 won with a margin of 336 votes, while Bhumi Gohil of Congress from ward 9 won b
