New Delhi: Union agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar, who had been leading the Centre’s talks with the farmers’ unions, on Thursday accused the opposition parties and others backing the farmers’ protests of making âinnocent farmers⦠puppets of their politicsâ.
Indian Express, in an open letter to the protesting farmers, Tomar said those who were stopping trains from carrying supplies to soldiers at the border when the situation in Ladakh was âchallengingâ, could not be farmers.

Highlighting the benefits of the new farm laws, Tomar also slammed the Opposition for spreading falsehood just to reap political benefits.
