A second cheetah has died in Madhya Pradesh's Kuno National Park after falling sick on Sunday morning, two months after it was brought to India from South Africa. Six-year-old Uday was one of 12 cheetahs flown into the country in February.

Project Cheetah chief SP Yadav has said that all 12 cheetahs brought to the Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh from South Africa in February this year were released successfully on Tuesday from quarantine.
The three-year-old female cheetah Siyaya , translocated to India from Namibia on September 17, 2022, gave birth to four cubs around five days ago, said Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh JS Chouhan on Wednesday.
