Napa canyon area about 3 20 this morning and it really was a good jolt. It felt, to me. We were both awakened by it it felt like it was 20 to 30 seconds long. It was kind of a sidetoside shake for me. Thats what i felt. Yeah. For you it felt maybe a little bit longer. You were closer to the epicenter. For me down on the peninsula, it felt more of like a rolling motion. For me, not nearly as strong as the loma prieta quake. Moving around, getting the kids up. A shake map, i was able to see what the aftershock situation has been since that 6. 0 quake hit at 3 20 our time. Theres been a 2. 5. There was a 3. 6 not too long ago. All of this, of course, having an impact on the roadways in that immediate area. And leyla gulen is here with a look at that. We look at the golden gate bridge. They dont want anybody out here until they have determined it is safe, especially if theres an aftershock. They dont want to take chances. Caltran crews are out here, along with the chp, keeping this area closed down and making sure that its safe before they open it back up. Let me tell you again where we are. Westbound 37 at sonoma boulevard. This is state route 29. We are in vallejo. Chp tells me interstate 80 and the bridge looks okay. They have a visual on that. They feel confident that looks good. But right any they are confident that that looks okay. But this area has brought them some concern. They have shut this down so they can check out the bearings, make sure everything is okay.
