One person in hospital after crash involving crane on A48 outside Carmarthen The road was closed for around two hours One person has been taken to hospital after a three-vehicle crash on a main road outside Carmarthen. The incident happened shortly after 7am on Wednesday on the A48 between the town and the Nantycaws area. The eastbound stretch of the dual carriageway was closed for around two hours and traffic was affected heading towards Cross Hands. Police and paramedics all attended the scene, while fire crews released a person from a vehicle after they had become trapped. Police have confirmed that one person has been taken to Glangwili Hospital although they have not revealed the extent of any injuries suffered.
