Charity funds $70k equipment to ease patient wait times

Wishlist has funded a $72,365 colposcope which is used by the gynaecology team at Nambour Hospital for patients needing to have a procedure after an abnormal cervical screening test. Wishlist chief executive Lisa Rowe said the charity was proud to fund the equipment to allow more women to be seen in shorter time frames. I m told this service sees more than 1000 women a year, and as you can imagine, there is a lot of anxiety around these types of diagnoses, she said.

Patient flown to hospital after Coast mountain fall

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said a person, reported to be a male, was winched from the scene and taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in stable condition.
