New Delhi [India], May 31 (ANI): External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will chair a meeting of BRICS foreign ministers on Tuesday in which the leaders will exchange views on COVID-19 pandemic and global and regional issues of concern, sustainable development and countering terrorism.

The focus of the meeting would be COVID-19 crisis
New Delhi: With a focus on the COVID-19 crisis, BRICS or Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa s foreign ministers will meet on Tuesday (June 1) virtually at 4 pm. The meeting is being hosted by India as the chair of the grouping this year.
Present in the meeting will be India s external affairs minister Dr S Jaishankar, Brazil s FM Carlos Alberto Franco França, Russia s FM Sergey Lavrov, China s FM Wang Yi and South Africa s FM Grace Naledi Mandisa Pandor.
The ministry of external affairs in a release said, Ministers are expected to exchange views on the Covid-19 pandemic situation, the need for strengthening and reforming the Multilateral System.Countering Terrorism.
The foreign ministers are also likely to discuss the need for reforming the multilateral system and ways to enhance cooperation in countering terrorism.
