Representative image  |  Photo Credit: PTI Mumbai: Amidst a spurt in COVID-19 cases, the Maharashtra government has imposed a night curfew in two more districts – Kalyan-Dombivli and Nandurbar - in the state. The authorities took a decision after Kalyan-Dombivli recorded 392 new coronavirus positive cases on Tuesday. While issuing the order, the Kalyan-Dombivli district administration said that the Shiva temple in the area will not be open for devotees on the occasion of Shivratri on March 11. As per the order issued by Kalyan-Dombivli municipal commissioner Dr Vijay Suryawanshi, shops will be permitted to remain open for five days from 7 am till 7 pm from Thursday onwards. Shops will be allowed to operate on an alternate day basis on Saturday and Sunday.

Representational image  |  Photo Credit: IANS Nagpur: In the wake of rising COVID-19 cases in Nagpur, the authorities on Thursday announced a complete lockdown in Maharashtra s city from March 15 to 21. According to Nagpur Guardian Minister Nitin Raut, only essential services (such as vegetable shops and milk booths) will remain open during the lockdown. The lockdown will be imposed in all the areas that fall under the Nagpur Police Commissionerate. During the lockdown in Nagpur, private offices will stay shut while government offices will work at 25 per cent capacity, announced Raut.
