県と長野市、松本市は２９日、新たに上田市や諏訪市などの１０歳未満～８０代の男女２９人が新型コロナウイルスに感染したと発表した。感染再拡大が一層鮮明になり、県は佐久、上田、長野広域圏について、感染状況を６段階で表す県独自の感染警戒レベルを「３」（感染拡大に警戒が必要な状態）に引き上げ、「警報」を出した。
２９人のうち６人は県外との往来があり、このうち１人を含む１４人はこれまでの感染者の接触者か濃厚接触者だった。残り１０人は感染経路が推定できていない。既に教職員２人の感染が確認されている県諏訪保健所管内の高校の関連では、新たに教職員１人と生徒１人の感染が判明。感染した計４人は校内で接触があったとし、県は集団感染の可能性もあるとみて調べている。
