Things different we need to do more to prevent kids from falling through the cracks using data i had given the Closing Argument and the victim in the case was a mother of 8 who lost one of her sons to gang violence. Awhile i fought in the courtroom i was haunted by what was happening to her other children. When we were addressing the impacts on her children at home and as fate had it shortly after that trial that ended i met one of my heros dr. Harris and other person said we have to do better weve heard about the dismal statistics but we have a change to do Something Different and know the impact of toxic stress and this is a place were there this is going to end and were going to screen the kids and bring the best and bright you mind to serve the kid. Talk about the issues that they care about and mobilize them as well. Great question. Right here. Im the executive director of the dakota support foundation which is dedicated to a civilian military. My question is more about culture, as opposed to policy. I ended up being a Military Spouse which was a Culture Shock for everybody involved. But, if you had mentioned kind of the pushback we get from other women. My experience was interesting coming into the military and when i was trying to raise some of the issues seeing the military families. A lot of the pushback i was getting was from the other spouses either on the group and i ended up writing an article for the Washington Post and it was the same thing. 90 were thank you for saying something that the ones i did get that for pushing back were from some of the older Military Spouses and retired and the problem wasnt that i was wrong that i had said something publicly.
