Thalia Lyn, Chair of the NCB Foundation with members of the Oracabessa Foundation and student recipients
The small town of Oracabessa, located in the cool hills of St Mary, experienced a paradigm shift as the COVID-19 pandemic rapidly sent thousands of persons to work and study from home.
This essential isolation greatly affected children within the community who experienced quarantine without access to available online resources. With its mission to catalyse sustainable development for the community, the Oracabessa Foundation partnered with the NCB Foundation to close the digital gap by providing resources for educational institutions within the community.
The project started when the Oracabessa Foundation received technological equipment valued at over $500,000 from the NCB Grant A Wish Programme as the Chairman s Pick.
