Twenty-two after it was set up, Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU) the only state open varsity of UP is now close to getting its first ever grading from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).Bengaluru headquartered NAAC is the autonomous institution of University Grants Commission (UGC) that assesses and accredits higher educational institutions of the country.
Dr Yadav said that the guidelines issued by NAAC stated that colleges and universities, which have completed one academic year would be eligible to apply for provisional accrediation certificate.
