Each year John and the Motorweek team rolls out the red carpet for the annual Drivers Choice Awards. These are the cars and trucks many of us would like to have parked in our driveway, or at least dream about owning. The team looks at the factors mattering most to consumers - price, practicality, performance and fuel efficiency. Then the editorial staff selects the best models in a variety of lifestyle categories ranging from family sedan to luxury car, to large utilities and pickups. From that group, an overall best of the year is chosen.

2020 is officially over. Hurrah! Following such a complicated year, there’s much to look forward to in 2021.
But what about the cars? What are we looking forward to most? Here’s a taster of what’ll be arriving over the next 12 months. Next year looks electric, literally.
BMW iX
The radical
BMW iX was revealed earlier this year and is markedly different in appearance to other electric SUVs. It gets two electric motors, which combine to produce around 500hp. A 100kWh battery will enable it to travel up to 375 miles between charges too.
The missing soldier from Fort Drum has been found dead, Army officials said Sunday in a statement. A fellow soldier is in custody for his murder, according to authorities.
The investigation into the death of Corporal Hayden Harris, 20, an infantryman from 1st Squadron, 89th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, is ongoing, officials said.
Harris body was found in a wooded area off a cul-de-sac on Ross Road in Byram Township on Saturday afternoon, according to Sussex County First Assistant Prosecutor Gregory Mueller.
“We are devastated,” said Brigadier General Brett Funck, acting senior commander, Fort Drum & the 10th Mountain Division, in a statement.
