More violence broke out overnight in milwaukee where protesters are demonstrating, after a black Police Officer shot and killed a black man. One protester was shot and rescued by police. One Police Officer was injured when a rock smashed his windshield. And at least one car was set ablaze. Police made multiple arrests. Neighbors on milwaukees north side cleared debris on sunday after several cars and buildings were set on fire sunday night, saturday night, including a gas station that was burned to the ground. Dozens of protesters spurred on by posts on social media. The violence started a few hours earlier after a Po
Morning. Another night of unrest in milwaukee after a Police Officer shot and killed a man after he fled during a traffic stop. That shooting sparking protests and violence on the citys north side. This started on saturday. A pair of Police Officers stopped two that led to a foot chase which ended when an officer shot one of the two who was armed with a handgun according to officials. Police say that 23yearold Sylville Smith was shot twice once in the arm, and also in the chest. Smith died on scene. The officer was placed on administrative duty. Later in the evening a group of protesters angry about the shooting. Started looting businesses. And setting fires. Police arrested 17 people saturday night. This prompted Governor Scott walker to activate the National Guard. Again taking to the streets. We have Team Coverage this morning on this developing story. An officer training in the field barely escapes with his his police van in mount pleasant. Take a look we just got these pictures into our newsroom. Looks like the door was almost taken off. The officer was on call near 16th street near green bay road at about 10 30. Thats when the officer spotted a car behind him speeding up towards the drivers side of the van and lept back inside. The car careened into the drivers side door that was still open and sped off. Police are now looking for the driver and the car that hit the police van its desc sedan that will likely have extensive damage on one side.
