(MURFREESBORO) Black smoke was seen in the sky from all parts of Murfreesboro around 11:30AM Thursday (5/4/2023). Heavy smoke and flames billowed from the Cason Trail home as units from Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue arrived.

Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue has revealed a new patch for their firemen and staff. The new design which is much more vivid and clear, was released by Fire Chief Mark McCluskey in late April. One of the striking differences in the new patch is the blue background. The older patch had a dark blue background, while the new patch has a light blue color that is closely tied to – or in the same family of blue that is used by the City of Murfreesboro in their main logo.
