MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Newly appointed Fire Chief Mark McCluskey announces the promotion Tim Swann to Assistant Chief of Operations after serving in an interim role since July 2022.

Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue has revealed a new patch for their firemen and staff. The new design which is much more vivid and clear, was released by Fire Chief Mark McCluskey in late April. One of the striking differences in the new patch is the blue background. The older patch had a dark blue background, while the new patch has a light blue color that is closely tied to – or in the same family of blue that is used by the City of Murfreesboro in their main logo.
