GHMC announced on Wednesday that tests were conducted on 17,105 persons as part of the ongoing household fever survey with 1,667 teams visiting 1.97 lakh houses. So far, about 13.84 lakh houses have been contacted and 2.54 lakh persons were sent for medical examination with medical kits handed over to the affected families. The call centre with number 040 2111 1111 continues to function where doctors answer queries about the health.

Earlier in the day, Mayor G. Vijaylakshmi along with MLA M. Gopinath and other senior officials inspected several divisions in the Jubilee Hills area like Shaikpet lake where she wanted the water hyacinth to be removed forthwith, remove the construction debris, and build a compound wall.
COVID-19: KCR undergoes medical tests at Yashoda hospital

Hyderabad: Two days after testing positive for COVID-19, Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) on Wednesday was taken into Yashoda hospital, Somajiguda, for undergoing several medical tests. KCR had isolated himself at his farm house on the city’s outskirts after getting infected with the virus.
According to official sources, KCR underwent chest scanning, X-ray scans and other medical tests. During his visit to the hospital, his son and minister for IT and Municipal Administration KT Rama Rao (KTR) also accompanied him. KCR recently participated in the Nagarjunasagar by-election campaign and addressed a public meeting April 14. He participated in the election campaign in Halia in support of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) candidate Nomula Bhagat, who along with his family was also infected with COVID-19.
