Metro Lines 4 and 4A cover a distance of 35.2 km, commencing from Wadala and concluding at Kasarvadavali, Thane, with an extension of Metro Line 4A from Kasarawadavalli, Thane, to Gaimukh, Ghodbunder Road, also in Thane. Civil work for these elevated Metro lines has achieved 65 per cent completion. This line is expected to be ready by mid-2025.

At present, work on Metro Line 4 is over 41 per cent ready, and it is expected to be operational in a phased manner soon. Phase 1 between Kapubawadi to JVLR is expected to be ready by November or December 2024, and Phase 2 by June 2025.
