Mumbai experienced continued air quality conditions in the Moderate category on Wednesday. According to data supplied by the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR)-India, the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded a value of 149 at noon.
The Indian Express reports highlighted that the pollution plan was not implemented on the ground. They also noted the lack of enough air quality monitoring stations.
According to MPCB officials, these 18 units are business enterprises involved in metal works, electrical and welding works, garment manufacturing units and laundries that were operating without valid permissions. The officials maintained that all the units were operational in Kurla in the eastern suburbs.
