Everyone is on high alert. Bay area camps in yosemite were evacuated this week. San jose family camp is holding up but other camps are still in harms way. Two homes and seven outbuildings were destroyed early but no other structures are destroyed. More than 1,800 firefighters are fighting the blaze. Yosemite is open but it will take you longer to get there from the bay area. Take highway 99 and go on highway 140. Some bay bridge drivers face a detour approaching the toll plaza from oakland to make way for a new fast track only lane and the countdown continues until the bridge is shut down completely.
