Our Correspondent Mokokchung, Oct. 7 (EMN): MH-10 Kohima beat Changtongya Volleyball Association (CVA) ‘A in the final match to lift 12th edition of the Luke Sasong Memorial Volleyball Trophy 2022 organised by the Luke Sasong Sporting Association under the aegis of Mangmetong Students’ Union at Multi-Sports Complex on Friday. MH-10, Kohima outclassed Changtongya Volleyball Association in the 15th Imchaba Memorial Open Volleyball Trophy in September 2022. Both the teams showed aggressive offenses in the beginning of the first set. However Changtongya were pinned down at 18 – 25 in the first set. They took their last time-out at 18 – 19 but could not recover and the first set which went in favour of MH 10. In the second set, MH-10 outplayed CVA again. CVA blocks proved futile as MH-10 displayed their spiking prowess. CVA took time-out but could not retaliate and lost the set by 19-25. Our Correspondent Mokokchung, Sep. 21 (EMN): Defending Champion Changtongya Volleyball Association (CVA) continued its winning streak from Pool D on the second day of the 15th Imchaba Master Open Volleyball Tournament at Multi-sports Complex, Mokokchung on Wednesday. Changtongya out classed Sumedem Club 12-25; 16-25. Following two wins, CVA has secured a berth for the knockout stage. From Pool A, Tuensang District Volleyball Association (TDVA) comfortably collected two wins on the second day. They beat Yimyu 25-21; 23-25; 19-25 and Kumlong Sporting Association B 18-25; 15-25. They have collected three wins till now and have positioned themselves to enter the knockout stage while Kumlong Sporting Association B is out of the tournament.
