It was the late-2000s and Mullingar native Olive MacDonagh was living the dream in the balmy Cayman Islands. An accountant with a tax-free salary, her own house and lots of friends. It was all sun sand and sea. When she announced she was giving it all up to start a retreat in Westmeath, her mother thought she’d lost her mind.
Over one hundred students (40 teams ) across Atlantic Technological University (ATU ) recently competed in the ATU Entrepreneur Awards of the 2023 Enterprise Ireland Student Entrepreur Awards competition. Eleven teams from a wide range of disciplines won awards in the ATU competition and three teams will now go on to compete in the next stage of the national competition.
