Uniindia: Dhaka, June 6 (UNI) Bangladesh government has revoked the gallantry awards of four self-claimed killers of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding president of Bangladesh, with his family in 1975. Retired lieutenant colonel Dalim was decorated as Bir Uttam, the second highest gallantry award of Bangladesh, while retired lieutenant colonel Nur was decorated with Bir Bikram award. Retired lieutenant colonel Rashed and Moslem Uddin got Bir Pratik awards.

Dhaka, Mar 7 (UNI) Bangladesh is observing the historic March 7 on Sunday commemorating the landmark speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman which was touted as the indirect declaration of the country’s independence in 1971.
This year the observance of the day will be more significant as the nation is going to celebrate the golden jubilee of the country’s independence on March 26 next while ‘Mujib Year’, the yearlong celebration of Bangabandhu’s birth centenary is going on.
