The Nigerian military has stated that some of its personnel were killed in Tudun Biri, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State before the accidental bombing in the area which killed 120 residents. This was mentioned by General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, while appearing on a live programme on Channel Television monitored by SaharaReporters. A Sokoto-based Islamic scholar, Sheikh Muhammad Yabo, has condemned the military bombing of villagers during the Maulud celebration at Tudun Biri village, Kaduna State. Nigerian Vice President Kashim Shettima on Thursday arrived in Kaduna State to commiserate with the victims and families of the unarmed civilians killed in airstrikes at Tudun Biri village in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Shettima was welcomed on arrival at the Nigerian Air Force base, Mando by Governor Uba Sani and top officials of the state government. Shettima was earlier meant to visit the affected communities on Wednesday but decided to move his visit to Thursday.
