A woman was killed and two others were injured in a gun attack in Pekua upazila of Cox s Bazar early today.
Police recovered the body of Shelly Akter (36), wife of local businessman Faridul Alam, and sent it to Cox s Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, our Cox s Bazar correspondent reports quoting police.
Police detained two people Mohamadul Karim amd Mufizur Rahman for their alleged involvement with the attack, said Officer-in-Charge of Pekua Police Station (investigation) Kanon Sarkar.
According to Shelly s son Mehedi Hasan, a class 10 student of a local school, a gang led by the sons of a local man, Mohammad Hossain, went to occupy the land of one Nurul Islam at Budhamajhi Ghona area around 2:00am.
