CM aide inaugurates road in Mansehra July 21, 2021 MANSEHRA: Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Population Ahmad Hussain Shah inaugurated the Garlat-Jabbah Bangian Road, linking dozens of villages with Balakot town on Tuesday. “Our government has been working to develop villages and remote parts of the province to restrict migration of people to mega towns and cities,” Ahmad Hussain Shah told the inaugural ceremony held in Garlat. The Garlat-Jabbah Bangian road was destroyed in the 2005 earthquake and none of the successive governments earmarked funds for its rehabilitation despite protests by locals. The special assistant said that Chief Minister Mahmood Khan was taking keen interest in addressing the New Balakot City Housing Project issue.

IG gives away commendation certificates to cops of Mansehra, Haripur Peshawar May 10, 2021 MANSEHRA: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr Sanaullah Abbasi gave away commendation certificates to officials of Mansehra and Haripur districts here on Sunday. “You deserve to be honoured as you have traced and busted robbers’ gang involved in a blind dacoity here in Balakot,” Abbasi told the ceremony held at the police rest-house here. Deputy Inspector General for Hazara range Mirvaiz Niaz and District Police Officer Asif Bahadur received the IGP on his arrival at the venue. Abbasi said that the police were supposed to protect the life and property of citizens.

30 shops sealed in Oghi for defying lockdown - Newspaper

MANSEHRA: The Oghi tehsil administration on Sunday sealed 30 shops of non-essential items for defying the lockdown. A team of TMA officials and policemen led by assistant commissioner Usman Ali took the action during visits to different bazaars. “We cannot allow anyone to challenge the writ of the government,” Mr Ali told reporters on the occasion. The official said the precautionary measures ordered by the government were for the safety of the people. Mr Ali said almost 90 per cent shops dealing in non-essential items remained closed in the city and its suburbs as the business community was largely extending cooperation to the administration in enforcing the Covid-19-induced SOPs.
