MANSEHRA: District Police Officer Asif Bahadur on Wednesday warned that the persons indulged in the festive firing on the eve of Eid would be dealt with an iron hand.
“The police personnel in civvies would be deployed in parts of the district to check the aerial firing and those found committing the offence would be arrested on the spot,” the official told reporters here.
He said that Mansehra police in pursuing the deputy inspector general of police Hazara range orders would remain vigilant to check that crime, which sometimes claimed lives of the innocent people.
“You should spend your chaand raat and Eid at your homes to avoid any danger posed to your lives by the novel coronavirus as cases of this pandemic are on the rise in the country and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” Bahadur said.

MANSEHRA: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr Sanaullah Abbasi gave away commendation certificates to officials of Mansehra and Haripur districts here on Sunday.
“You deserve to be honoured as you have traced and busted robbers’ gang involved in a blind dacoity here in Balakot,” Abbasi told the ceremony held at the police rest-house here.
Deputy Inspector General for Hazara range Mirvaiz Niaz and District Police Officer Asif Bahadur received the IGP on his arrival at the venue.
Abbasi said that the police were supposed to protect the life and property of citizens.

MANSEHRA: Deputy Inspector General of Police, Hazara range, Mirvaiz Niaz has directed the police officers to ensure the implementation of the novel coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs) in letter and spirit.
“You should also create awareness about the importance of the Covid-19 SOPs,” Niaz told the monthly crime meeting on Thursday.
The meeting was attended by the district police officer Asif Bahadur and superintendent of police (Investigation) Hafiz Janis Khan.
The DIG, who expressed his satisfaction over the law and order situation in the district, said that security in bazaars should also be enhanced during the holy month of Ramazan.
