This added congestion and confusion, stems from a person struck and killed on a Regional Rail line in delaware. All trains, including amtrak both northbound and southbound are dealing with significant delays because of the investigation. All railways between wilmington and newark, delaware are currently on stand still and impacting travel up and down the line. Some passengers have been attempting to switch trains to try to maneuver shorter wait times but over all the atmosphere is simply that of a collective headache. Even so everyone we spoke with has taken the attitude that reflects the holiday no the matter how long it the takes most passengers are in route to see family and for that they remain thankful.
