The seats of five BNP lawmakers in parliament are now vacant as they have submitted their resignation letters in person, Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury said today.
The main opposition party, Bangladesh Nationalist Party, planned a huge rally in the capital city on December 10 alleging inefficiency on the part of the government to arrest soaring prices and rising cost of living.
Seven BNP lawmakers have announced their resignation from parliament from the Golapbagh rally today. Gulam Mohammad Siraj of Bogura-6 first made the announcement while addressing the rally.
